One of the best parts of being in Amsterdam is the constant onslaught of flea markets and the endless possibilities of acquiring the odd Dutch book. This one I picked up at the monthly Ij Hallen which requires you to take a ferry across the Ij to a massive warehouse full of mostly crap and some certain treasure. I like to dig. Mostly books find their way into my life at these things; which is fine by me seeing that it’s my goal to build an army of books to keep my brain fortified.

Next Ij Hallen is this weekend, if I find anything good I’ll maybe let you look at it.

Tom, when you two come out here, it may be best to bring an empty bag. Try to make your ticket for one of the markets, it will be outside by then!

The markets here are made of the stuff that Tyler’s dreams are made of. So much crap that could be turned into treasure. You and Erica move here and open up a lamp shop. Now.
