Got a couple of things going on over here in my fortress of solitude. Getting excited about recreational drawing again and decided to tackle a photograph of my great grandmother that I swindled away from my lovely mother years ago. Just playing around with texture/pattern. Above is peek, perhaps a bit hard to make out. I guess that’s what a peek is. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.

I enjoyed making bear so much that I thought another paper cutting project was called for. My floor is littered with tiny construction paper triangles. No pictures of that, you’ll have to take my word for it.

I did a very short run of some thank you block prints recently. Wanted to experiment with overlaying different inks and shapes. Having seen some really nice screen printing test prints, I wanted to do something similar. Thing is, it’s really hard to recreate something as accidental as a test print.
Here’s a few of the winners!

Here’s one of the things I’ve been working on during the holidays;
a miniature of Erik’s favorite Thai cart! I typically geek out on his
gifts exhibit a and exhibit b. He deserves it.
It’s roughly 5 inches tall and made from matte board. Got a nice
rough spot on my finger from pressing down on the exacto knife
so hard. Had to get those tight details.
Hope everyone enjoyed the holidays!
