The Acorn, Yes Please.

Acorn Cards
The Acorn is a coffee shop in Portland that never ceases to make me happy. They pull a mean espresso and they’re quick on the draw with fresh banter. In addition to that, they make the sweetest business cards. All handmade, all awesome. Some of my favorites are by Little Jeff (Big Jeff being the owner.) I can’t really sum up exactly why I like these (not in coherent sentences anyway) but I spent about 5 minutes going through their thick stack of cards going “WHA!” “YES!” Whoaaaaa.” “Sweet!” and so on. Today I picked up the one on the bottom with the eyeball, hotdog(?) and frog riding the mystic pyramid.

Let’s take a closer look:

    where did you go?

Acorn is right by my work. I can’t believe we haven’t run into each other there. I don’t like the trendy haircuts - and whatever you do don’t order a magic pickle.

    Oh you!
I can’t go to Acorn as much as I’d like to lately, I didn’t know you were located near there! We should meet up and eat deviled eggs and dis on people’s bangs. I also want to draw on your cast…you do have a cast right?

No by bones get the luxury of floating around, castless. You can’t really cast the bones I have. So I get to feel them crunch around and poke out of my skin. It’s massively delightful!

Yes. We need to meet up.

I just re-read my post. My bones are like everyone elses, I didn’t mean to imply that my bones are beyond or above being casted. They are just like everyone elses, no better, and certainly not worse -except for the fact that they’re broken.

ANYWAY what I meant was for the particular breaks that I suffered, the doctors don’t cast them. Or at least that is what they told me, I could very well be the butt of a workplace joke for a bunch of trauma doctors.
